About Miss Valeri Lopez
Miss Valeri Lopez is an emotionally charged pop singer-songwriter whose
genre-blending sound fuses unexpected styles together, defying tradition. Her music has been described as a mix of Ellie Goulding's ethereal pop and Kacey Musgraves' soulful storytelling. It's heartfelt and raw, blending sass with vulnerability and sadness with hope. Through her songs, Miss Lopez aims to connect with listeners on a deep level, offering them comfort, understanding, and a reminder that it's okay to dream, no matter what age you are or where you are in life. Having survived dark times, she carves authenticity into every lyric, making her music a refuge for those who feel unseen. Her musical journey began with a big break: winning a radio singing contest that led to opening for '90s band Dishwalla. Valeri's single, This Is What Made Me, went viral through Nashville's Songhouse Co., and she has co-written with industry heavyweights like Trannie Andersen and Blessing Offor. Valeri's artistry is further enriched by her jazz education at the University of Southern California, Thornton School of Music where she was mentored by luminaries like Patrice Rushen, Kathleen Grace and Johnaye Kendrick. Miss Lopez is releasing her debut double album, BLACK COFFEE, one single at a time, showcasing two sides of her artistry: a synthaholic "A Side" and a naked "B Side" featuring only vocals and guitar. This project is a testament to her vision and perseverance. With her independent spirit, fearless creativity and soulful vulnerability, Miss Valeri Lopez is carving a space all her own in the music world.
